10 Celebrity Reactions to Amy Winehouse’s Death

1. Film critic Richard Roeper first tweeted about her joining the "27 club."

2. Rhianna said, “Dear God have mercy!!! I am SICK about this right now! #DearAmy”

3. CNN talk show host and America’s Got Talent judge Pierce Morgan praised her talent, but lamented about her “destructive personality.”

4. Morgan’s co-worker at CNN, Anderson Cooper, wrote, “Just heard a report amy winehouse has died. If true, such a waste of a great talent.” Immediately following that, he simply tweeted, “Amy Winehouse dead at 27.”

5. Saturday Night Live member Seth Meyers tweeted, “Years ago Sudeikis told me Winehouse's "Valerie" was as good a start-the-day song you'll hear. He was right. I'll miss her.”

6. Lee Unkrich, director of Toy Story 3, took time out of his busy Comic-Con schedule towrite, “Sad to hear about Amy Winehouse. Once again, the candle that burns twice as bright only burns half as long.”

7. Winehouse’s producer, Salaam Remi, posted a few separate tweets mourning the star he helped create. In one he called her a “sister” that he would miss and followed it up with, “RIP my baby SiS Cherry Winehouse. Love ya always.”

8. Singer Ricky Martin tweeted, “i just found out. I feel pain. I feel anger. Rest beautiful girl rest. You are free! #RIPAMY,” in both Spanish and English.

9. Actress Demi Moore said, “Truly sad news about Amy Winehouse. My heart goes out to her family. May her troubled soul find peace.” Meanwhile, her husband, Ashton Kutcher, simply tweeted, “Rip amy winehouse.”

10. Samantha Ronson, DJ and sister of Mark Ronson, who produced Winehouse’s Back to Black album with Remi, called out those trying to make light of the situation.
